tea tree oil for my acne (an experiment)

Hi everyone! here i am again, and  this time i'm sufferig from acne due to hormonal imbalance. (i will no longer describe how it looks like, i'll just show it to u later.LOL!) I'm experimenting on how to cure it by using TEA TREE OIL because  according to my research, tea tree oil is good in killing acne bacteria and reduces the symptoms of acne because of its powerful anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral qualities. There are a lot of people who use it as a replacement for benzol peroxide, which is considered as the most effective treatment for acne and is an active ingredient for the popular brands of over the counter acne products such as proactiv and clearasil. And since i prefer natural remedy, i will try this to myself.

How to apply it? very very simple, just put the solution to a cotton bud or a cotton ball  and dab it to the affected area. they say that it will dry the pimple easily. And since it will dry the skin, it is recommended to use an oil free moisturizer. but hey, be sure to apply it on a clean face. Wash your face first with a mild facial cleanser wherein i highly recommend CETAPHIL.  I am very very optimistic that it will work on this acne sticken forehead. :)

Oh, before i end this, be certain that it is 100% tea tree oil and not just any product that contains a little percentage of tea tree oil as ingredient. Mine is a local brand GIGA. you can go to http://www.giga.com.ph/ for more information about their products. It is contained in a tiny 15ml bottle which cost me only eighty pesos (P80.00). I bought it at the mall of asia the other day.

Watch out for my next blog and i will tell you whether it is really effective or not.

ice facial using cucumber

Hi everyone, last night i posted a blog on why i converted myself into using natural and homemade remedies and why is it avantageous compared to using expensive and highly advertised products flooding the market. So this time i'll teach you on how to make one simple recipe for your face which im assuring everyone that it really is a good and useful thing to do.

We all know that ice tightens pores on your face, thereby retaining glow and freshness.
Icing your face is good for maintaining healthier facial appearance. There is a misconception that icing your face cures acne. It does not in any way cures acne but it only reduces swelling and redness to your pimples.
However, it helps prevent and reduce acne since continued use will tighten and make your pores appear smaller.

Cucumber on the other hand not only treats under eye dark circles or puffy eyes but it has various benefits for great skin. It fights freckles, it helps whiten, brighten and even tighten your skin, it treats sunburn, it rejuvenates and soothens skin due to its cooling effect, it can also be used as skin toner for radiant skin.

So before i teach you on how to make this simple recipe, you need to prepare the following materials:
                        1. 1/2 cucumber (medium size)
                        2.  ice tray
                        3. blender
                        4. 1 cup water

Just follow these simple steps:
1. peel your cucumber and slice it into smaller sizes and put it inside the blender
2. add 1 cup of water into the blender
3. blend it ( it's better if you will not totally blend the cucumber in a way that it will become like a smoothie)
4. pour it into the ice tray, then put it into the freezer... wait untill it hardens into ice

When your concoction is already frozen, you can now apply it into your face. Dab it into your cheeks and move in a circular motion. Continue this process until you finish with the rest of your face. If you have an acne on your face, try to press it there longer to treat the redness and swelling, and if ever you have a sensitive skin, you can wrap the ice in a cloth. Do this after everytime you wash your face. Be sure to clean your face properly. In my case, i do this every morning and every evening after washing my face. And based on experience, after more than a month of doing this beauty regimen, my skin looks better, healthier and radiant.

have fun and enjoy my beauty tip for the day, and i love to hear from you :)

converted to natural beauty care

I'm a girly girl, but not the super duper type of girly because i don't do things that they usually do. First and foremost, i don't wear make up, i don't have all the "blings" for every outfit nor i harvest every issue of all the top fashion magazines to update my look and outfit. But i want to always look good and pleasing, a bit sexy but subtle. I accessorize but not bold enough to catch attention. I am meticulous with my skin especially my face, and choosy with the products i use.

And since i'm choosy i experiment on brands that i think is best suited on my skin. Like most people,  I have this wrong mentality that expensive products are safer and more effective. But these things contain harmful chemicals and artificial ingredients that when used continuously and in a long term will surely damage the skin. Not only that, it will also age the skin faster. As a result, you would need to spend more on  products or visit a dermatologist to repair the damage.

Actually, if you want to have  a healthy and beautiful skin you don't need to spend so much. Sometimes, it will only cost you a little or nothing at all because  the ingredients are available at your home. Although you will spend time to prepare it but i assure you that the procedure is easy and simple and not tedious.

As for me, I now consider myself as a certified natural beauty convert. It's been two months now that i regularly use natural beauty recipes and remedies, as facial mask, facial scrub, or to get rid of pimples. And it works well on me. This helps me not only  save money, but natural beauty remedies are gentle on skin because they do not contain harmful ingredients.

So you too can be a convert like me. Beauty by nature. Natural is still the best....
